This Account Deletion Policy applies to all users of OSTAAGAR, including buyers, sellers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and platform partners.
Users may request permanent account deletion directly through the App settings or by contacting support@ostaagar.com.
Accounts with active orders, pending disputes, outstanding settlements, or financial recoveries may not be deleted until related obligations are completed. We will notify users if deletion is delayed by ongoing marketplace activity or compliance requirements.
We retain only the minimum data required to satisfy legal obligations and to support dispute resolution or audit requirements. The following retention schedule applies:

| Seller Account Data | Until deletion plus 5 years for GST and compliance |
| KYC Documents | 5 years from verification |
| GST Records | 8 years as required by Indian tax law |
| Order Records | 7 years for transaction and compliance purposes |
| Financial Records | 8 years to support payment settlement and audits |
| Account Deletion Requests | 3 years for compliance validation and dispute resolution |
Deletion requests are reviewed and validated. If approved, we move the account to a pending deletion status and permanently delete personal data no later than 30 business days after approval, except where legal retention is required.
We maintain an audit trail of deletion requests, consent timestamps, and consent IP addresses to support compliance with DPDP Act 2023 and to verify user authorization.
If an account is subject to a legal hold, investigation, or tax obligation, certain information may be retained for the period required by law even after the account is deleted from active systems.
